The Working Group on Philanthropy for Social Justice and Peace is excited to present at the WINGSForum in Istanbul (March 27-929, 2014), a session entitled ‘Peaceful Networks’.
We are asking the question – How can associations and networks best support their members who are working in areas of deep communal divisions and violent conflict? The session will include interactive and theatrical components and seek serious and practical answers to this question by probing needs of funders on the ground and examples of networks/associations that have taken peace on explicitly.
The session will be moderated by Avila Kilmurray.
Speakers include Jenny Hodgson of the Global Fund for Community Foundations, Jane Humphries of the Community Foundations of Canada, Ambika Satkunanathan of the Neelan Tiruclevam Trust and Barry Knight of CENTRIS.
However, the interactive design of the session will ensure that everyone is a participant!
