Purpose and Mission
The Working Group is committed to build a self-sustaining philanthropic network committed to social justice and peace outcomes. The group is thus determined to:

• Create and support a community of practice of philanthropy for social justice and peace
• Develop grantmaking practices that will advance the field of philanthropy for social justice and peace
• Shift the narrative in philanthropy to one that places social justice and peace at its center/core)

The Network will be based on its members’ needs and interests and will function not as an organization but as a network of practitioners – with enough structure to be effective and no more. Members of the Network will have access to knowledge and support from other practitioners.
